TIP #1: Map awareness
Map awareness is very important. As a matter of fact, all great players have map awareness. These players know where exactly the enemy champions are by simply looking at the map. You need to know where your enemy champions are as this is very important in your success. If you see one champion in each lane on the Summoner’s Rift, then you should know that there are two champions MIA. When you know the whereabouts of your enemies, it determines how cautions or aggressive you want to play the game. If all the five are on the map then you are free to play aggressively.
TIP#2: Wards
Wards are very important and work side by side with map awareness. For example, gold costs 75g for a green ward. Four of them would cost 300g, the same amount given for a champion kill. That means that when you die, you will need to take into account the four costs involved-300g for the killer of the enemy and you will miss out on 3 minion waves and 10-18 last hits. That’s actually a big cost of dying. Therefore, it is important that you buy wards even if they will keep you from ganked most of the time.
Season One Championships gives you an idea of how many wards great players buy. The players buy wards every time the shop. That’s exactly how you should play. You shouldn’t give any excuses like it’s not your job or you are a carry. It is your job to provide enough ward courage. Wards will make you win.
Well, the reality is that it feels bad when you don’t finish your big item simply because you had to buy a few wards. But wards make a bigger impact than your big item because they allow you to choose the right fights at the right time.
TIP #3: Learn from your mistakes
The best players learn for their mistakes and from every game they play. At the end of every game, they ask themselves two questions:
Q 1: What mistakes did they make in the game?
This question applies to enemies and teammates. Did you kill the enemy who walked into five of you? You need to take note of every mistake so that you don’t repeat.
Q2: What could they have done better?
This is one of the greatest strategies for becoming a great player. Did you miss out on some last hits? Could you have done something better? Use your lol account to play more so that you can get better.
The only way you can become a great league of legends player is if you get better every day.
Last but not least, it is important that you learn from other great players. Anytime you great player in the game, add them to your friends list and talk to them. Ask them about their masteries, runes and any advice and tips they may have for you.
